1.2.3. What questions will they ask me at the hearing?
The official will ask you more detailed questions about your case for the purpose of establishing all the facts and circumstances that are essential for approval of your international protection.
Say everything that is important for your case and why you left your country.
Depending on the circumstances of your case, you may be uncomfortable answering some questions. Tell the official that some questions make you uncomfortable, but know that sometimes the answers to such questions can help when reaching a decision.
At the end of the hearing, the translator will translate the minutes orally for you. Follow carefully, and if something is written incorrectly or is not in the record, react immediately and tell an official person who will correct it. When you sign the record, it is considered that what is written in the record is exactly what you said at the hearing and can be taken as evidence in the proceedings.
