1.3.7. How long does the protection last? Which document do I use to prove that I have international protection?
International protection has no expiration date, it can end or be canceled under conditions prescribed by law. When asylum or subsidiary protection is granted, a residence permit is also issued.
An asylum seeker will be issued a residence permit for a period of five years, while a foreigner under subsidiary protection will be issued a residence permit for a period of three years.
