4 Procedure at the Border

In the following cases the procedure can also be carried out at a border crossing or transit area in an airport or seaport, if there is a possibility to provide you with accommodation, food, clothing and financial assistance:
•  if the application or a subsequent application is clearly unfounded, i.e. if you do not meet the conditions for approval of asylum and subsidiary protection and there are circumstances that enable the implementation of an accelerated procedure;
•  if you have been granted international protection in another member state of the European Economic Area;
•  if you have been granted international protection in a third country whose rights you still enjoy, provided that country will accept you again;
•  if you come from a safe third country or an European safe third country;
•  if another member state of the European Economic Area has the jurisdiction of your application;
•  if you are a citizen of the European Union.
The decision in the procedure at the border will be reached within 28 days, otherwise you will be allowed to enter Croatia in order to apply for the international protection.
If you receive a negative decision, you can file a complaint with the administrative court within five days.
